Mr Men and Little Miss find a home this summer at Selfridges, Oxford Street!

2011 marks 40 years of Mr. Men and Little Miss, and to celebrate, leading department store Selfridges becomes the official retail partner for Britain’s iconic characters.


From Monday 18th July, Mr. Men will take over the Gift and Stationery area on the ground floor complete with exclusive artwork, branding, products and entertainment. The partnership with Selfridges will run through to 11th September 2011 and will feature events for big kids, little kids and serious fashionistas alike.


The 40th anniversary celebrations were kicked off this year, with the timely launch of ‘Little Miss Princess’ in March, the newest character to join the iconic book series published by Egmont.


On 9th May, the iconic Mr. Men and Little Miss characters graced Google's homepages all over the world in celebration of what would have been Roger Hargreaves' 76th birthday. This saw the largest number of unique doodles (nearly 20!) ever displayed on Google’s homepage in a single day.


Plenty more surprises are in store for fans this year as the brand will be tickling its way online and across the nation. Partnerships in the pipeline already include product collaborations with Swarovski Elements, and a limited edition range of stunning nail polishes from Nails Inc. There will even be behind-the-scenes peaks at the lives of some of Britain’s favourite characters as the Mr. Men and Little Misses embrace social media.
