Last.fm, the international music discovery service, today announces CocknBullKid as the headline act for the first monthly ‘Last.fm Presents’ gigs in partnership with MAMA Group, part of HMV Group Plc. The monthly flagship music events, taking place in London on the first Friday of every month, will be curated by Last.fm data and powered by listeners. The first gig will be held at The Garage, London, on Friday 7th October 2011. Tickets to Last.fm listeners go on sale today (25th August) with tickets available more widely tomorrow (26th August).

CocknBullKid has spent the past four years exploring all manner of influences forging a distinctive colourful pop sound and winning her a slot on Jools Holland.

When asked about her appearance at the primary Live Friday gig CocknBullKid said "All I'm saying is that there'll be a story - a cradle to the grave journey. And it will be very interactive. There may even be vogueing."

The events which kick off on Friday 7th October will include a range of live acts selected according to the popularity of listener’s scrobbles and the Last.fm Hype Charts - providing a line-up of the most popular and hottest up and coming artists. The next gig in this succession will take place on Friday 4th November with the Indie band Art Brut already confirmed, more details to follow. From October-December, the gigs will take place at MAMA Group’s ‘The Garage’ before moving to sister venue the HMV Forum Kentish Town in January 2012
