NEW RICHARD GREEN GALLERY OPENS WITH HOMAGE TO LS LOWRY
A museum quality exhibition for LS Lowry will include 38 paintings and drawings that span a thirty year period from 1934 to 1969. Panoramic industrial landscapes, busy street scenes, dock yards, parks, playgrounds, seascapes, fairgrounds and football matches interspersed with more intimate images of single figures, groups of children, families or just close-ups of life in which a man posts a letter or pushes a cart.
