Ride Around London is a unique cycle challenge taking place on Sunday 30th September 2012. Both the 115 mile full ride or the challenging 60 mile route take in some of the fantastic cycling London has to offer right on its doorstep! The carefully planned route has been devised by respected tour veteran and sportive organiser Andy Cook. Route highlights include starting at Herne Hill Velodrome, cycling up the iconic Box Hill, cycling past Windsor and Eton, through the Chilterns, and finishing at the Lee Valley Athletics Centre.

“An excellent family day out for which the route was well chosen and supported. We will definitely be putting this in the calendar for years to come. I really hope Access Sport raise the much needed funds that go towards such worthwhile causes!” Maurice Burton, De Ver Cycles

The event boasts fully stocked feed stations for lunch and a hot meal at the finish. Event organisers Access Sport and Andy Cook Cyling will also be providing chip timing, full first aid and mechanical cover and access to showers and changing rooms at the finish. Optional bag transfer and return rider transport services are also available in association with Pickfords.

Access Sport received over £25,000 in fundraising from all the fantastic fundraisers who participated in Ride Around London 2011. Mark Hardie, Access Sport CEO said “This money has enabled us to fund our BMX Legacy Project. The money contributed towards the creation and intensive development of five new BMX clubs and to building new BMX tracks in East London. We are leading the way with our tried and tested club development model which helps coaches and volunteers to achieve sustainable, self sufficient, thriving community hubs for young people in disadvantaged areas to take part in exciting sports like BMX”.
