Registration for the 20th annual Crisis Square Mile Run is now open and the homelessness charity is hoping for record numbers of city sprinters to take part in this popular summer event.

On the 13 and 14 June, relay teams and individual runners will follow a route beginning at Paternoster Square and will race to end homelessness while taking in some of London’s most iconic landmarks.

Crisis - the national charity for single homeless people - is aiming to raise £160,000 from the event which will be fun and action packed. To help the charity reach this goal, Crisis is asking every runner to raise at least £200.

Since its beginnings in 1992 the event has raised well over £2 million for Crisis. This money has helped the charity continue to provide essential services to homeless and vulnerably housed people across the UK.

Those who want to join the Crisis Square Mile Run sponsored by Rabobank, can register at the charity's website.

Crisis

Crisis is the national charity for single homeless people. We are dedicated to ending homelessness by delivering life-changing services and campaigning for change. Our innovative education, employment, housing and well-being services address individual needs and help people to transform their lives.
We know we won’t end homelessness overnight or on our own. But we take a lead, collaborate with others and, together, make change happen.

Crisis Skylight London

Crisis Skylight London is an award winning education, training and employment centre for homeless and vulnerably housed people in East London. It offers practical and creative workshops in a supportive and inspiring environment together with formal learning opportunities that lead to qualifications and finding work.

There are five other Skylight Centres in cities across the UK.

A team of homeless and vulnerably housed members of Crisis Skylight London will be running the Square Mile relay.
