Rosés are an increasingly popular style of champagne and an important niche to explore if you are a fan of bubbly.
Not to be confused with the sticky-sweet still rosés of the 1970s - or even the light summer wines of the south of France - rosé champagne is sophisticated and carefully crafted. At its best it combines the yeasty complexity of French champagne with a supple fruitiness courtesy of the red wine grapes in the blend.
Generally more full-bodied than other types of champagne, rosés are also ideal main course accompaniments.
Each champagne house has its own approach to this delightful wine style and this session will give attendees the chance to taste three of the best. To add to the occasion, the tipples will be paired with three different smoked salmons from legendary gourmet food supplier Petrossian Paris, each of which will provide a delicious counterpoint to the champagne.
Tickets are priced at £65 per person and as the class size will be kept small to give participants the best possible experience, early booking is advised.
