Sadly the last classical concert of the year in our hall before it closes for urgent repairs. This will be a nostalgic and beautiful evening celebrating Wilton’s gorgeous acoustic.

Two of Mendelssohn's works will book end the the concert, his fabulous Octet and the unplayed original version of his early D minor Concerto for Violin and Strings. In celebration of brilliant street photographer Richard Bram, leading young composer Mihailo Trandafilovski (one of the violinists in the Kreutzer Quartet) has written a new work also for this evening's concert and commissioned specially for Wilton's. To complete this marriage of sight and sound, the artist Joanna Jones is painting a large-scale work as a backdrop to be displayed with the performers.

The Kreutzer Quartet has been in residence at Wilton’s since 2008 introducing new compositions, classic works and contemporary pieces that can be appreciated by classical music fans and new listeners alike.
