STAR-STUDDED LINE UP FOR BANANA CABARET;S LAUNCH OF BALHAM COMEDY FESTIVAL 5 - 8 JULY 2012 AT THE BEDFORD

With a glittering constellation of comedy giants already confirmed, the launch of Banana Cabaret’s 2012 Balham Comedy Festival will certainly put this pre-Edinburgh event firmly on the UK comedy map.

Comedy fans are in for a real treat at the inaugural 2012 Balham Comedy Festival, which will feature a host of stars, many of whom have appeared at Banana Cabaret during its 28 year history. Names confirmed are Harry Hill, Al Murray The Pub Landlord, Ed Byrne, Ardal O Hanlon, Milton Jones, John Moloney, Marcus Brigstocke, Stephen K Amos, Richard Herring, Stephen Frost Impro All Stars, Paul Chowdhry, Diane Spencer, Alistair Barrie, Tania Edwards and the Best of Banana Cabaret hosted by John Moloney with Paul Thorne, Paul Tonkinson, Lucy Porter, Henning Wehn, Kerry Godliman and Adam Bloom.

With a worldwide reputation and having played host to some of the biggest names in comedy since its inception, it is only appropriate in this Olympic year, that Balham’s premier comedy club Banana Cabaret should launch what will undoubtedly become a much sought after annual comedy event for the capital.

The 2012 Balham Comedy Festival, which is being co-produced by Banana Cabaret founder Dave Vickers and legendary comic John Moloney, who will also be festival compere, will take place place in The Round Room, The Ballroom and The Tavistock Room with 2 shows nightly in The Round Room. Audiences will have the chance to see a mix of hour long performances and Edinburgh previews from some of the greatest names in comedy. Edinburgh previews can be seen from Alistair Barrie, Marcus Brigstocke, Paul Chowdhry Tania Edwards, Richard Herring and Diane Spencer. Tickets for the shows, which range in price from £8.00 - £15.00 per show with a special 2 shows in The Round Room for £25.00 are on sale now and can be purchased from website
