Passionate poems of Rumi.

Four-time GRAMMY nominee Kayhan Kalhor is an internationnally acclaimed virtuoso on the Kamanchech, who's performances of traditional Persian music and multiple collaborations have attracted audiences around the globe.

The event will feature songs from his latest album "I will not stand alone" and it will be divided in two parts.

Part one - The Art of Improvisation
Songs from Kalhor's latest album recognized as top 10-world music album on Songlines magazine and Mezzo TV.
Performed by Kauhan Kalhor and Ali Bahrami Fard (New developed instrument, Shah Kaman & Santur Bass).

Part two - Poems of Rumi
Composer: Kayhan Kalhor (Dastgah-e-Nava)
The Kayhan Kalhor Ensemble performs new interpretations of Persian classical music with Siamak Jahangiry (Ney-flute), Hossein Alishapor (Vocal), Ali Bahrami fard (Santur bass), Rozbeh Rahimi (Santur-hammered dulcimer), Hadi Azarpira (Tar-lute) and Alireza Mollahosseini (Tombak-percussion).

Rumi's works have transcended national and ethnic borders for centures.

BBC news has described Rumi as the "most popular poet in America".
