Lazarus Theatre Company presents

Shakespeare’s King Lear & As You Like it at the Space

King Lear:

Divided by love, jealousy and betrayal, Lear is forced into a world of isolation, destruction and fear by those around her: a world where hope is a distant ideal; a barbarous land in which a mother must fight her own daughters in order to survive. A Queen, a mother and the most famous female monarch of all time... Lear.

Lazarus returns to Shakespeare for one of the most sensational of all the tragedies. Through the use of text, music and movement, this ensemble production, with a company of over fifteen actors shall create a world re-imagined, where a female monarch clings to her identity, throne and Kingdom.

As You Like It

“All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players”: As You Like It is a tale of family betrayal, passion, love and disguise. Shakespeare’s exhilarating play takes you beyond the realm of the norm and into the enchanted Forest of Arden, in which mistaken identity, love and repentance collide in spectacular form in this new production of As You Like It.

Considered by many to be one of the greatest Shakespearian comedies, this ensemble production, with a company of over fifteen actors, shall bring to life a world in which nothing is as it seems.

Both productions has been directed by Ricky Dukes and Gavin Harrington-Odedra

‘If you know anyone unsure of Shakespeare then take them to see this and have them fall in love!’
Dave Jordan, What’s on Stage on Macbeth
