Since its inception 60 years ago the ‘discothèque’ has reigned in England… We’re creating a nationwide celebration of Jubilee street parties, dancing and revelry to honor 60 years of the ‘discothèque’ and the institution we all love: dance music..
Right across England and the commonwealth, people will be celebrating. Even HM the Queen is joining in the fun and will be partying as well we hear. Come and join the main event at Planet Angel on Friday 1st of June and then take the long weekend to relax.

Once again we’ve managed to secure the venue you all love for our last Party until the Autumn – we’re back at Lightbox and Fire with three areas of music, that lovely clean and welcoming atmosphere and the massive terrace for lots of summer fresh air.

Musically we’re celebrating the origins of dance music, taking you on a pounding journey with special sets laced with classic tunes from the seminal dance music days! In the Meltdown Room, the journey is woven with trance in all its forms including some classic old skool. The Funky Lounge samples the early roots of breaks and the derivatives and dub versions as well as current classics. In the Ibiza Bar the fun is non-stop, with such an eclectic remit, expect serious party music from start till stop with some real treats! Full details soon…

As you have come to expect from Planet Angel, we’re packing this special Party with awesome fun interactivity and workshops, with some of our most popular creative activities both inside and out! More details coming soon… Of course there’s the Art Canvass, Poetry Canvass, Plasticine, Lego, Connect 4, Big Jenga, Backgammon and all of the Planet Angel trademark games and interactivity.
