Second year Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance students from the BA (Hons) Musical Theatre Performance programme present Bright Lights, Big City.
Based on the 1984 novel of the same name, the rock musical Bright Lights, Big City follows Jamie, a struggling young writer who finds himself spiralling out of control as he confronts his demons in the club scene of 1980s New York City. It follows Jamie through the week when he hits rock bottom before finding some hope of redemption. The riveting rock‘n’roll score is reminiscent of the 1980’s sound, but remains as timeless as the story it tells.
