Westfield London is delighted to join the national celebrations for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee by hosting a display of prints taken from the Victoria and Albert Museum’s (V&A) collection of Cecil Beaton’s royal portraits, from 28th May to 8th June 2012.

Located on the first floor of The Village – Westfield’s luxury shopping quarter – the public display will showcase select portraits of the Queen in a variety of locations and backdrops, from official engagements to more informal affairs across a two decade period, providing remarkable insight into one of the world’s longest-serving monarchs.

Cecil Beaton had a long and trusting relationship with Elizabeth II in his position as royal photographer. From teenage Princess, to mother and sovereign, the Queen posed for Cecil Beaton's camera on many occasions from the 1940s to the 1960s. Taken from an exhibition at the V&A earlier in the year, the six specially selected images will be on display at Westfield London, free for all visitors to view and enjoy.

Myf Ryan, General Manager, Marketing Westfield UK & Europe comments: “These pictures from the V&A show a significant snapshot of British history in our centre during a time of great national pride.”
