The world’s eyes are on England this year with the upcoming Queen’s Jubilee, the Olympics Games...and of course English Wine Week!

We have decided to celebrate this patriotic year and pay homage to English Wine Week by putting together a tasting menu specially designed to showcase our country’s growing wine industry and some cracking British produce to match. This menu will be available from Friday 1 June until Saturday 23 June.

Deciding on the sparkling was an adventurous undertaking given the wide selection of producers this country now holds - some pleasantly running close on par with a fine Champagne given the similar soil structure and our slowly warming climate!

We are kicking off with a new favourite of ours from Gusbourne Estate; a formidable 2007 Blanc de Blanc. We have a few new appearances from the likes of Camel Valley Estate and Bolney Estate and if choosing a sparkling was difficult; finding the best English red in the country was certainly a challenge. We have landed on two reds that will be split over the three weeks; the Welcombe Hills Precoce Pinot Noir made in Warwickshire and Gusbourne’s Pinot Noir to accompany the milk fed lamb.

We have collaborated with our dear friends at Hush Heath Estate to conclude the meal with the award winning Balfour Brut Rose.
