Spontaneous Combustion 2012 – Dance festival (Big Dance 2012)

SPONTANEOUS COMBUSTION 2012 is a 10 days festival from 5 July to 14 July 2012 with 4 different locations, over 40 dancers, free workshops and a dance related exhibition. The aim of the festival is to give opportunity to the public to watch dance performances and to participate at various dance workshops. For 10 days, we would like to focus on dance and would like to invite everybody, both professionals and nonprofessionals, to join us.

DANCE DAY - On 14 JULY FREE DANCE WORKSHOPS AND PERFORMANCES
On 14 July 2012 we will hold several free dance performances and workshops from morning till the evening at LSO, St Luke Gardens and in ARBEIT.

Participating artist will include Anais Lefeuvre; Candica Lana; Christopher Matthews; Dygoro Sasaki; Guaranteedsuccess; Laszlo Forras; Ludovic des Cognets; Mariama Ndiaye’s group; Nina Kov; Nuno Santos; Morven Mulgrew; Mauricio Velasierra; Political arts; RAECE; Roundhouse Choir; Sukjin Kim; "The Nimble Western Line Dancers" and more...

Other activities:
• Dance performance in cooperation with the London Symphony Orchestra at LSO on 13 July 2012 (Part of Inside out);
• Free Zumba classes during the festival at Finsbury Leisure Centre.

Style will vary and you can expect line dance, African, contemporary or martial art based performance, folklore, and everything in-between. We hope that everybody finds something that he/she likes.
