Christopher Timothy – best known for his long-running role as James Herriot in “All Creatures Great and Small” – will head the cast for the London Premier of “Bullets and Daffodils”, a new musical dramatisation of the life and works of World War One Poet Wilfred Owen when the show comes to the Capital on 29th July 2012.

Also appearing in the production will be Graeme Clark (Wet Wet Wet) two of the country’s most respected music journalists, The Daily Mirror’s Gavin Martin – who helped write the show – and Oasis Biographer Paolo Hewitt, who will read from Owen’s poetry.

The score features a contribution from Pink Floyd's David Gilmour
The show features a selection of Owen’s best-known poems set to music by singer/songwriter Dean Johnson, as well as some new compositions and tells the story through the eyes of Wilfred’s Mother Susan Owen, played by Chloe Torpey. The first single release 'I Would Fight For You' has received the all important national airplay on BBC Radio 2's Elaine Page show.
