London Design Festival

Each September, London hosts the most thrilling and innovative design festival in the world.

Over ten packed days there are events taking place right across London. Our many Partner organisations put on a dazzling variety of events that show the richness and depth of the design activity that takes place in and beyond the capital. To that we add a series of major events at the world's greatest design museum, the V&A, as well as our own high profile Landmark Projects in some of London's best loved landmarks.

This year's Landmark Projects include:

Mimicry Chairs, Victoria & Albert Museum
Japanese design studio Nendo fill the V&A with a unique installation based on the motif of a simple but elegant chair

BE OPEN Sound Portal, Trafalgar Square
An entirely new kind of installation that focuses on the design that you can’t see – that of acoustics and sound – rather than visual spectacle

Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners present a radical rethink of the prefab house
