This summer, Levi’s® launches its first ever London based in-store Print Workshop, taking place in the iconic Flagship store, Regent St between the 13th July and 3rd August. This interactive project is calling on tourists and Londoners alike to get their hands dirty and screen print their own Levi’s® T shirt with limited edition prints, in collaboration with renowned graphic artist, Anthony Burrill.
The Levi’s® Print Workshop is the fifth in a series of workshops dedicated to the art of craftsmanship and follows the success of print, photo and film workshops in the most creative cities in the world; San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles and most recently Berlin.
Levi’s® customers and fans are also being invited to get involved in the creative process by suggesting their own London-inspired slogans via Twitter using #PrintLondon or post in-store via printed cards and memo board. The most original will be iconised by Levi’s® the following day as the print workshop live T-shirt graphic.
The workshop will take place in the experiential ‘Origin’ space in Levi’s®, Regent Street, The area will be transformed into a live print workshop that celebrates craft, innovation and style, and is staffed by craftsmen and women to assist in daily screen printing.
The Levi’s® Print Workshop launches with three iconic graphics created by Anthony Burrill that celebrate London. Burrill, known for his persuasive, up-beat illustrations and his witty approach to words has uniquely captured London’s spirit with a clever play on words.
The limited edition graphic printed tees feature the slogans THE CITY IS OURS TONIGHT and DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOU ARE? And will go on sale at Levi’s® Regents Street store, Westfield Stratford, Boxpark and Carnaby Street from 13th July 2012 . A bespoke graphic t-shirt with the statement THIS IS NOT THE WEST has also been created to capture the distinct culture that surrounds East London, and which will be available exclusively at Levi’s® Boxpark pop-up store in Shoreditch.
