Project Description –Chickenshed at the beginning of the Project will perform its anti-gang violence production ‘Crime of the Century’ and then run workshops to give participants a voice in the issue - leading to a presentation.

The Production -’Crime of the Century’ follows the journey of two teenagers as their paths collide at one fatal moment.. The style and tone of this piece is contemporary and candid incorporating rap, hip-hop music and ‘street’ terminology making this a very accessible and gripping show for young people. The production has toured to over 120 venues with great reactions from audiences.

The theme of the workshops will be ‘Young People –the Real Story’ where in different ways the Project participants will show how young people should not be stereotyped and should have a voice in their communities.

The Project will involve Acting, Rap, Movement –especially Street Movement.
