To Your Health - another in the series of Hero of Switzerland group assembled shows, this time exploring all things analogue. Exhibiting artists alongside Dan Button and Esme Tearle this year are the usual troupe of dear friends, old and new, hangers on and talented creeps that will produce work specifically for the To Your Health themed show.

The Basement Gallery launched this summer in East London in the basement of The Lomography Gallery Store. The Basement Gallery East London will welcome a selection of the Capital’s most interesting, innovative and exciting artists, illustrators and craftspeople who work in a predominantly analogue manner. Those who work within mediums that involved a hand-worked-element. Hand crafted, hand draw, painted, pulled, screened, lino cut, photographed, paper cut, origami…really whatever catches our eye and shows some work by hand will have the opportunity to exhibit within The Basement Gallery.

Ben, Dan and Esme met as bored slackers working in shitty cubicles, at a shitty job, for shitty money. It was shitty. Since then however, through their camaraderie, a shared love of pubs, fish and chips, naughty words and pop culture, they decided to scribble, stitch, paint and scratch all the daft things that have entered their head brains. Hero of Switzerland is the vulgar, bleary-eyed but rather pretty creature that emerged.

Individually and as a group Hero of Switzerland have exhibited across London and the UK and have been featured in publications such as Design Week, Guardian Guide and The Huffington Post for their work, exhibitions and blogs such as A Horse with Hands Riding a Bike.
