"Geographical Blueprint: The Art of the Handcrafted Globe"is the UK's inaugural show of handmade globes, exhibited by talented craftsmen Bellerby & Co at the Royal Geographical Society.

Visitors will embark upon a journey through planetary installations, as handmade globes are set on roller bearings, suspended in mid air and exuded from walls. Highlights include; the magnificent rotating Churchill globe, standing over 1.5m tall, the revolutionary free spinning Mini Desk Globes, and a selection of freestyle creative pieces, showcasing the talents of local artists who have been selected to adorn the orbs in their own unique style. Each part of each globe is made and painted by hand in London, appealing to artists, collectors, geographers and purveyors of fine items alike.

A range of Bellerby & Co. maps, gifts, and the Mini Desk Globes are available to purchase at the exhibition, whilst the larger models are more timely, bespoke items and are made to order. The Geographical Blueprint show is a wonderful opportunity to wander through the enchanting, forgotten world of Globemaking, and assimilate the antiquated art, which is fast being restored to it’s former glory.
