Design Funked at Dwell for the London Design Festival 2012

For their first ever London Design Festival, leading high-street home retailer, dwell, have invited ten of the UK’s hottest young designers and two of their in-house team to flex their creative one-upmanship skills for Design Funked. Each of the young designers will take an existing dwell furniture piece or accessory and ‘funk it up’ in a way that only they know how.

The newly ‘funked-up’ pieces will then be exhibited in the flagship Tottenham Court Road store for the duration of the festival, 14th- 23rd September 2012. Visitors to the exhibition will also get the chance to buy the 10 one-off pieces by the young designers for no more than the products usual RRP – essentially the chance to get a unique, one-of-a-kind design for a steal...and even better, all of the money raised from will go directly to our chosen charity Kids Company, enabling them to provide practical, emotional and educational support to vulnerable inner-city children.
