St George is to host the annual Imperial Wharf Jazz Festival on Thursday 13 & Saturday 15 September at London’s leading riverside destination.

After the resounding success of previous years, and now in its eighth year, St George is hosting the annual free Jazz Festival at Imperial Wharf featuring some of the world’s most creative jazz musicians.

The exciting two day programme will begin on Thursday 13 September with MOBO award winning saxophonist Courtney Pine supported by Abimaro & the Free, a soulful folk blend beaming with beautiful melodies and smooth vocals.

The festival will continue on Saturday 15 September; opening with the Hackney Colliery Band and Cuban ensemble The Cuban Jazz Project. Leading into the afternoon there will be performances from trumpeter Matthew Halsall and a duet from world-class virtuoso and guitar-great John Etheridge and Christian Garrick.

The Saturday evening session welcomes double MOBO award winner YolanDa Brown, followed by the powerful vocalist and classically trained harpist The Lucinda Belle Orchestra. Saturday’s headline act will be internationally acclaimed British soul singer Omar.

Located at the heart of Imperial Wharf, the Jazz Festival provides outstanding views along the River Thames, creating a great atmosphere where diners can enjoy a range of culinary delights from Me Love Sushi, a selection of Lebanese dishes from Yamal Alsham, the taste of Thailand at Blue Elephant, Indian flavours from Spice of India, as well as the highly popular Young’s Waterside bar and restaurant. Visitors can also choose from a wide range of wines from Wimbledon Wine Cellar.

The Jazz Festival has been programmed and produced in partnership with St George by leading event production company ESIP, also behind the international concert series ‘Made in the UK’ and the Global Mix record label.
