For men who like the little things with a manly touch

Men will no longer need an excuse to hide behind their female counterparts to enjoy Afternoon Tea, as neighbourhood favourite, Chapters brasserie in Blackheath, launches its Gentleman’s Afternoon Tea menu available Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 3-6pm.

Forget dainty finger sandwiches, bite-sized cakes and eating from floral china, Chapters Gentleman’s Afternoon Tea is as manly as they come, with a mouth-watering macho menu that includes:
A bottle of Greenwich meantime beer
*
Salt beef on toasted rye with mustard mayonnaise and pickles
*
Champagne glazed oysters
*
Venison Bresoala with toasted sour dough
*
Mini Chapters beef burger
*
Warm duck croquants with plum chutney
*
Deep-fried herring melts with garlic and parsley croutons
*
Warm chocolate brownies
*
Treacle Tart

Diners will certainly be in for a treat with the menu’s masculine twist on the traditional Afternoon Tea, by replacing the classic cucumber sandwich and a teacup with a beer bottle in one hand and a burger in the other. The miniature savouries showcase some of Chapters’ signature dishes, as well as brand new creations. The Gentleman’s Afternoon Tea menu will be available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, to be pre-booked only, for £32 per person.

Chapters, is a Michelin Bib Gourmand and 2 AA rosette-rated brasserie that is renowned for its simple, well-cooked and presentable food, so much so that it was awarded the highly coveted Bib Gourmand just four months after opening. The brasserie is set over two floors with alfresco dining that overlooks the fabulous views of the heath.

So to all the men about town, leave the ladies at home and enjoy a feast fit for a king!
