Subterranean restaurant and bar The Factory House is supporting Movember by creating a haven in the heart of the City for those fundraising for the iconic men’s health charity.

All brave souls liberating their upper lip hair in the name of Movember will be treated like royalty at The Factory House in London’s Leadenhall Market.

“Mo Bros” and “Mo Sistas” will be furnished with moustache grooming products, treated to complimentary professional grooming parties and given special VIP rates.
The Factory House is also promoting special Movember food & drink menu items and will donate £1 to the charity each time the below items are ordered:

• the 280g Sirloin Steak (an easy-eating option for the hairy mouth and the classic choice for gentlemen the world over)
• The Rudyard Kipling cocktail (a new cocktail inspired by a great Victorian man and his moustache, especially devised for Movember at The Factory House. Based on ‘The King’s Peg’ from Kipling’s short story ‘At the end of the passage’ The Rudyard Kipling is a combination of cognac, sparkling wine and bitters.)

Furthermore, any registered “Mo Bro” or “Mo Sista” fundraising for Movember will receive a 10% discount on their food & drink bills throughout the month.
Support for Movember will be evident throughout the restaurant: look out for stickers & badges around the venue, moustache wax and combs in the lavatories for grooming touch-ups and even moustache-shaped biscuits served with compliments alongside hot beverages.

All guests to The Factory House are invited to sign up to The Factory House’s Movember team to join forces in fundraising for prostate and testicular cancer.
The entire male front-of-house staff and many of the chefs at The Factory House will be sporting their own moustaches to raise money for the Movember charity.
General manager Andrew Rhodes said: “The Factory House has always found inspiration in the great Victorian age. To Victorians, a hairy upper lip was an essential accessory and moustaches were a mark of a gentlemen. Supporting Movember was a natural choice for The Factory House and the whole team is excited about raising money for a great cause. We are looking forward to The Factory House becoming a hub of Movember activity, and encouraging guests and staff alike to take part. ”

Anthony Power from Movember said: “Movember is a charity all about raising funds and awareness for men’s health through the medium of moustaches. Being a “Mo Bro” can be tough -- it takes commitment to get through the initial discomfort and being the butt of jokes in the early days of mo’ growing. So it’s great that The Factory House staff are supporting the cause by fundraising and making their restaurant & bar a refuge for Mo Bros and Mo Sistas to feel like the heroes they are.
“Movember is a lot of fun with a serious message at its core and The Factory House completely understands our vision. With supporters like The Factory House, 2012 is set to be the biggest Movember yet so register at www.movember.com and join The Factory House Mo Team.”
