‘Love & Peace Blooms on Park Lane, London’
Ana Tzarev’s striking fifteen-foot-high flower sculpture, “Love” is now of display on London’s Park Lane. The “Love & Peace” campaign is travelling the world to promote the timeless values of love, peace, and understanding.
Her most ambitious work to date, Ana Tzarev is launching a series of connected sculptures which span the planet and carry a global message of love, peace, and understanding.
The sculptures will be placed in areas where millions of people will be able to see them as they go about their daily lives. “My dream is for my flowers to act as beacons and rallying points across the planet – bringing people together on a global scale.”
The first flower in Europe appeared on the grassy central reservation of London’s Park Lane on 9 December and will be on view until June 2013. The first flower blossomed earlier this month in Shenzhen, China, and next will bloom in the Museo Nationale Palazzo di Venezia in Rome.
The sculptures will be linked to a high-tech network of cameras and what Ana calls “listening posts.” People from around the world will be encouraged to tell stories and share their experiences of Love & Peace. The messages and pictures will be communicated through a series of social media sites.
The new campaign has seen the sculptures bloom now in three cities: New York, Shenzhen, and London.
