“Advertising was my university. Everything you see in my movies owes something to the time I spent learning my craft in commercials.”
- Sir Ridley Scott
From shooting ads for Strongbow and Hovis in the sixties and seventies, to shooting a series of the most epic movies of all time, in an exclusive film, to be screened for the first time at the IPA Festival of British Advertising, Sir Ridley Scott discusses how advertising shaped his film career. Following this there will be a screening of one of Ridley’s earliest works, The Duellists.
