The Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund (CTBF), in association with The British Comedy Guide, are pleased to announce GIGGLEBOX – an evening of comedy and entertainment on Monday 6th March at the legendary 100 Club, Oxford Street.

Hot off the comedy circuit, GIGGLEBOX is delighted to be welcoming some of the best names in stand-up including compere Steve Furst, Imran Yusuf, Sean Collins, Ed Gamble and Patrick Monahan – all showing their support for the industry’s trade charity.

The CTBF are here to protect, advise, support and assist industry colleagues during times of hardship. Those working behind the scenes are often assigned to short freelance contracts, meaning working unsociable hours and long periods away from home. Such instability can lead to relationship breakdowns, strained financial resources and mental health issues. This is where the CTBF come in – we are here as a stepping stone, lending a helping hand to those who can see no easy way out. As the landscape of the industry continues to change, your support has never been needed more.

“When life is giving you a hard time it is great to know that you have a friend to turn to for support. We at the CTBF are here to help people working in the industry in any way we can. They say that laughter is the best medicine, so please join us in raising a few laughs and supporting people in the industry who have little to laugh about” D’Arcy Myers, Chief Executive.

The CTBF also have an expanding talent development programme including The Betty Box and Peter Rogers Comedy Writing Programme - a script development scheme for emerging comedy writers, delivered in partnership with Big Talk Productions and LOCO London Comedy Film Festival.

You do not have to be affiliated with the industry to show your support – everyone is welcome. To reserve your seats at the GIGGLEBOX comedy fundraiser - click the link below:
