As part of the London Architecture Festival, the Republic Gallery will host the work of a young Bosnian Architect, Emina Camdzic.

The mixed art exhibition “Growing with London through the Eyes of a Child to Architect” shows the process and stages of development and growth of a war child whose earliest memories are of destroyed buildings, drawing inspiration from London’s cityscape and history.
Through photos, art and sketches we can detect how the combination of the reality of life in a postwar-environment and her later experiences of London – a multicultural capital with rich art and architecture and centuries of visible history – influenced and inspired a child to a life in art and architecture.

At the same time, Emina attempts to envisage how the architecture, culture and art of Bosnia- Herzegovina could develop in the future, and how architecture can help its people to heal.
