Maz O’connor: ‘Young Hearts’ Residency With Special Guests

Maz Oconnor starts a London residency on 14th June. Cut glass vocals, ease over a relaxed piano, the musical version of kicking back to drink a smooth liqueur on the rocks at dusk. Elegant, quirky, & original Maz O’Connor is a considered lyricist and a composer of heart-tugging melodies, influenced by folk and roots music, but undoubtedly English, youthful and now. She studied literature at Cambridge University; a juxtaposition to her background as she comes from a family of Irish immigrants who settled in Liverpool. Growing up in the far Northern town of Barrow-in-Furness, Maz is enamoured by the simplicity of lone figure on a stage, telling stories with songs.
