Exhibition of Paintings by Sam Lock

We are delighted to welcome back Sam Lock to Wimbledon Fine Art for an exhibition of new mixed media on canvas paintings.

Sam paints viscerally. In addition to the brush creating layered colours, he uses a blowtorch and electric sander to gently age and wear down the canvas to create a texture and patina reminiscent of Palaeolithic cave paintings. Attaining an honours degree in Fine Art from Edinburgh University in 1997, Sam worked in education before becoming a professional painter 15 years later. He has exhibited at the RA Summer Exhibition, Royal West of England Academy and the Mall Galleries and has produced commissioned paintings for the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore and the newly developed Penthouse suite at Battersea Power Station.

Join us for this exhibition of new mixed media on canvas paintings. Sam will be present at the private view on Sunday 11th June. The exhibition continues for 2 weeks.
