Hackney Summer Fete

Hackney Summer Fete returns to the heart of London’s greenest borough on Saturday 8th July in the beautiful 3.12 hectare stretch of beautiful lawns and gardens; also home to “one of London’s most awe-inspiring places to catch a gig” (Timeout, 2016) St John at Hackney (Jamie XX, Florence + Machine, Coldplay, Benjamin Clementine, etc). Hackney Summer Fete flows seamlessly across ten individually curated sites boasting the very best of local food, beer, vintage, fashion, yoga, kids activities and music with a hipster dog show thrown in and an after-party at a London Fields rooftop.

The free open-air festival takes place 12.00-18.00 and is expected to surpass last year’s record crowd of 10,000.
The team at Hackney Summer Fete have chosen Suncut Records’ label showcase as their after party from 18.30-23.00 - headed up by label boss Neal Birnie (Suncut / NTS) over at Field Works, a London-Fields rooftop on Martello Street. Fete-goers are encouraged to RSVP to [email protected].

Main partners in this year’s event are beer partner, Signature Brew who say “we're proud to support local events that bring the community together. Throw in some fantastic live music and good beer and you've got a fete we can't wait to be a part of”. KiP Hackney, a new hotel innovation for Hackney are bringing a hotel room installation in the Paddock Field with free coffee onto the Paddock Field to interact with people. Hackney Walk has kindly supported the event for three years running.

With a growing national (Metro, Timeout) and international (New York Times) reputation Hackney Summer Fete is fast becoming a must in London’s summer calendar – be sure to join the crowds.
