Ernest Lunch Party in Gillett Square!

As a food solidarity network, Ernest connects restaurants, restaurant diners and local charities who work with food. The model is simple: alongside the traditional service charge Ernest introduces a ‘solidarity tax’ which goes to support food charities in the restaurants’ local area. We are going to be celebrating in style the successful culmination of our first Ernest campaign, having raised £5,000 for two different charities, the Hackney Migrant Centre and Spitalfields Crypt Trust.

Not only will our two charities be sharing some of their most popular dishes, we have also invited a selection of food organisations along to represent what they do and cook a little something for our guests. For example, Kitchen Rituals will be selling a dish that has been designed with Kingsland Road's multicultural community in mind, whilst Hands Up for Syria will be sellling some of their MarmalAid. And lots more!

There will be music, there will be food, and there will hopeeefully be sunshine... An al fresco lunch party with a difference. Come meet & eat!
