To mark the end of summer, Franklin & Sons is converting the Gin Garden at Cinnamon Kitchen into a pop-up eatery offering gin and tonics and Indian street food to diners alongside an immersive Penny Farthing bicycles display.

Inspired by the Bombay Bicycle Club, when food was delivered on the bikes in India, Franklin & Sons is celebrating the birthplace of tonic and curry at a one-off event and invites guests to enjoy two G&Ts and a bowl of Indian street food at one of three 45-minute sessions.

The premium tonics, mixers and soft drinks maker will serve up G&Ts crafted with Star of Bombay and East India Company gins, paired with Franklin & Sons Natural Indian Tonic and Franklin & Sons Natural Light Tonic, alongside a street food platter prepared by Cinnamon Kitchen’s Head Chef, Santosh Shah.

The Penny Farthing Supper Club will take place in the Anise Gin Garden, hosted in association with Bombay Sapphire, located at Cinnamon Kitchen on Devonshire Square at Liverpool Street. The three sessions will run on Monday 18th September, from 6.00pm until 6.45pm, 7.00pm until 7.45pm and 8.00pm until 8.45pm.

Tickets cost £8 per session and are available at www.tinyurl.com/PennyFarthingSupperClub.

Justin Horsman, Marketing Controller at Franklin & Sons, said: “Londoners enjoy a curry almost as much as they love a G&T, so what better way to get into the best of spirits on a Monday evening than with a celebration of these two Indian cultural icons? With Head Chef Santosh Shah in the kitchen, Franklin & Sons and Cinnamon Kitchen are sure to spice up your end of summer drinking repertoire!”

First crafted in London in 1886, Franklin & Sons’ drinks introduced Victorian Britain to new taste experiences using only the finest natural ingredients, flavours and colours. Proud to continue this tradition 130 years on with a re-launch in 2015, the company has since introduced several new tonics, mixers and soft drinks, including a Sicilian Lemonade & Elderflower serve and an Original Ginger Ale.

Guests will not be admitted without government-issued identification proving they are at least 18 years old.
