Greenwich Winter Time Festival will offer a distinct alternative to customary winter events with its own individual style. Embracing the heart-warming traditions of the season, this new winter festival is set to give visitors a truly unforgettable experience with 3-hour sessions daily and with a line-up of daytime and evening events.
Entering the festival you will be welcomed by a community of performers – actors, musicians, jugglers, magicians – who will entertain and lead throughout each 3-hour experience. Across the site, Artisan street food and seasonal treats will be provided by Greenwich Kitchen and many more suppliers. The Greenwich Winter Time Ice Rink, which has a clear cover for enjoyment in all weather, will host skilled freestyle ice-skaters who will open each public skating session with an exhilarating show of jaw-dropping dancing on ice. The bespoke covered ice rink will sit under a clear canopy with sparkling lights, allowing families, couples and groups to skate under the stars whilst listening to bespoke music composed by students from Trinity Laban Conservatoire.
Housed under a giant stretched canopy, the Mirror Stage will anchor the main live programme that includes an excellent selection of performers, bands, DJs and choirs. Announced acts include Martine McCutcheon, The Puppini Sisters, widely regarded as the world’s leading close-harmony group, The Magnets, with their beatboxing vocal gymnastics and Sons Of Pitches (as featured in new Sky 1 show Ultimate Acapella). Other musical acts include The Funkin' Voices, who perform well known jazz and popular songs in thrilling four-part harmony; star of the West End's The Rat Pack, festival favourites Uncle Funk and Boogie Wonderband playing a wide range of 70’s disco classics; and Miss Kiddy and the Cads, a unique vintage musical sensation from the jazz cabaret and festival circuit who will perform with a 5-piece band and stunning tap dancer. Choirs include the London Nordic Choir, Greenwich-based London Soul Choir and Welsh choir and Classic Brit Award winners, Only Men Aloud; bands including the Hackney Colliery Band and Kansas Smitty's House Band and
