Chrispmas Festive Lights Switch and Lantern Parade

It’s time to celebrate the festive season in Poplar as we turn on the lights in Chrisp Street Market. With mystery Christmas characters, guests from Frozen and a giant snow globe photo booth, this lights switch-on promises to be the most magical evening.

Local schools will kick off the event from 3.30pm with a performance of their favourite carols on stage, followed by our very own community choir Poplar Singers. You can then join the performers in a special lantern parade led by a Bollywood Brass Band. Be sure to dress up warm and treat yourself to a tasty mince pie and hot chocolate from local charity Neighbours in Poplar.
