8:00PM ALEX HITCHCOCK featuring ant law A recent graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, tenor saxophonist Alex Hitchcock's fluent, melodic and creative playing has already made a significant impression on the UK jazz scene. A member of the award-winning contemporary big band Patchwork Jazz Orchestra, Alex also leads his own projects at venues such as Ronnie Scott’s, The Vortex, and The Royal Albert Hall and has performed with, amongst others, Soweto Kinch, Stan Sulzmann, Dennis Rollins and the BBC Big Band. He has worked as an Ambassador for the National Youth Jazz Collective and in 2015 was chosen by promoters Serious to produce concerts at Rich Mix through their Young&Serious programme. Tonight Alex will be appearing with a new line up featuring some of the most impressive players on the UK Jazz scene, guitarist Ant Law (Gwilym Simcock, Jason Rebello, Tim Garland), upcoming young bass player Dan Casimir (Jean Toussaint, Clark Tracey) and the Award winning French drummer Marc Michel (Jim Rotondi, EYM Trio). Promises to be a special gig...

"Alex Hitchcock…a fantastic talent" JazzFM; “Ant Law....bustling power, judiciously harnessed with elegance and poise" London Jazz News
