Photography Exhibition: Celebrating women and their impact on east London

In honour of International Women's Day 2018 we are organising an exhibition to celebrate our local female community heroes in east London, and we'd love for you to be involved!

There is no need for any experience! All you have to do is submit a photograph of a woman or group of women you know who has made a special impact in the East London local community , somebody who goes the extra mile to make a difference, alongside a short description.

It could be your best friend, a volunteer at your local charity shop , a very helpful neighbour , a yoga teacher that does free or by donation classes for the community , a teacher who goes out of her way to help one of her students or a group of women who work in a charity and dedicate their extra time to helping the community with their skills.

The top 50 photographs will be featured on our website, and the top 15 images will be exhibited in the Gallery Cafe throughout March.

We are also planning a special opening night and the creators of the 15 shortlisted photos will receive them as a print at the end of the month.

Help us celebrate these wonderful women and their diverse roles in the community.
