DYSPLA International Moving Image Festival (DIMIF) is the world’s first film festival dedicated to screening the visual innovation of dyslexic and neurodivergent story makers. DIMIF will blur the lines between the traditional film festival format and the art gallery experience, putting our audience at the forefront of interpretive narrative while exploring the definition of the ‘Dyslexic Aesthetic’.

DYSPLA has commissioned Video Artist D-Fuse – an innovator and moving image pioneer – to create a multi-channel installation using transparent screens and smoke. DIMIF will also feature the work of over 20 neurodivergent filmmakers, including our world-renowned award-winners Mike Forshaw, Emma Allen and Lemohang Jeremiah Mosese, as well as our special mention Stan Brakhage.

The festival kicks off with our Awards Ceremony, Gala and Gin Reception on the 14th of March, followed by the Panel Discussion on the 15th of March with our esteemed industry professionals – chaired by Deborah Williams of the Creative Diversity Network.
