Not just a half marathon for the 10,000 runners taking part, the event organisers have created an event which is just as fun for visitors and spectators with a tonne of things to do around the route from free tours and treasure hunts to reenactments and actors.

It has been hailed as ‘the most interactive running event ever seen in London’ and aims to showcase the quirky, hidden and grand of London.

It will not only mark the well-known landmarks of the capital such as Big Ben, St Paul’s Cathedral, Nelson’s Column, the Gherkin, the Shard, the Tower of London and the London Eye, but also unearth and promote the hidden highlights of the city, with an emphasis on historical and cultural gems

Along the route, activations will bring these hidden highlights to life, shining a spotlight on London’s wonderful history and culture such as The creator of the Bowler Hat, Dr Johnson’s house who was the creator of the English Dictionary, Postmans Park celebrating London’s postal history, the Bow Bells and hidden Roman Baths.
