Written by actor Christopher Saul, (currently in IMPERIUM at The Gielgud), this play is based on recordings he made of his Grandmother, Flo, in 1969. It had its first performance at The Bear Pit, Stratford upon Avon in March this year: "Feisty, funny and frank this working class London girl who has endured poverty, injustice, a troubled upbringing, love and loss. Her reminiscences intermingle with world events and vividly transport the audience back to those moments in time. Human and relatable. Magic!" Gill Sutherland Stratford Herald 1.03.18 Flo is performed by Ursula Mohan who has played everything from a female Lear to a clippie in On The Buses.
