Single Parents Get A Slice Of The Dating Action

Dating experts Match are hosting a unique speed-dating event for single parents and their kids in partnership with PizzaExpress and babysitting service Yoopies, one of the biggest childcare platforms in Europe. The fun filled afternoon in PizzaExpress will allow parents to meet like-minded singles whilst their kids are kept entertained creating pizza with fully qualified babysitters. This comes as wider research from Match has revealed that nearly half (45 per cent) of single parents NEVER go on dates, with a third citing a lack of suitable childcare as the reason (30 per cent).

The speed-dating pizza event is part of the company’s new initiative to empower single parents to get back into dating, seeing them also offer new and existing members three hours of free babysitting over the summer.

Upon arrival, parents will be greeted with a glass of prosecco, whilst kids will be welcomed by Yoopies babysitters before getting rolling on their dough-tastic Pizza Making Party with PizzaExpress Pizzaiolo’s Parents will then get the chance to speed date other single Match members for around an hour, with couples rotated to allow singles to meet as many people as possible.

After the dating, parents will then take part in their own Pizza Making Party whilst their little ones tuck into their hand-made pizza and ice cream. Kids will also be given time to play with arts and crafts materials and be given their goodie bag at the end of the event.
