In a so called "post-truth" age, do we need to alter the way in which research is communicated to the public? Running as part of the Economic and Social Research Council's Festival of Social Science, this SAGE Publishing and Sense about Science panel debate is set to explore how, in a world becoming increasingly skeptical of the role and value of ‘expertise’, we ensure that social science research remains relevant, valued and utilized.

Chaired by Jai Seaman, Senior Commissioning Editor, SAGE Publishing, panelists include: Dr Sile Lane, Head of International Campaigns and Policy, Sense about Science, Catherine Fieschi, Executive Director of Counterpoint, Louise Tickle, freelance journalist specializing in education and social affairs, and Amy Mollett, Senior Social Media Strategist at the Parliamentary Digital Service.
