Chaos Theory presents an evening of folk, shoegaze, contemporary classical and sprawling psychedelia, as the Thee Silver Mt Zion violinist joins us to perform music from her stunning new album "Entanglement", released via Constellation Records.

Jessica Moss (Canada)

An artist who's mesmerised us at a few of her concerts already. After 15 years as a member of Thee Silver Mt Zion, and having contributed strings to albums by Broken Social Scene and Arcade Fire, to name a couple, Jessica Moss has recently ventured into producing solo works.

Her latest album displays new levels of virtuosity, emotion and delicacy in equal measures, as she continues to push the sounds she can get by exploring and looping her violin, while weaving narratives on subjects that she feels are already on all of our minds.

After what we've already seen her play live, we know that this will be a magical performance.

"A vision of a dystopia that refuses to be soulless and defeatest." - Drowned in Sound

Jungfrau

With elements of the group formed in Germany, the now Brighton-based band are named after a peak in the Swiss Alps. Creating dreamlike shoegaze and krautrock sounds, drenched with thick atmosphere forged from shimmering guitars, glacial drums and bass, and echoey vocals sitting on top.

After releasing their debut album "Nacht" in 2015, Jungfrau toured the UK with Taman Shud, and have supported Rats on Rafts, Eternal Tapestry, Acid Mothers Temple, USA Nails, Lower Slaughter, Flowers Must Die, Witching Waves, The Rebel, Tweak Bird, Chris Cohen, Anthroprophh, My Disco, Mugstar, Esben & The Witch, Teeth Of The Sea and Naam.

"Equal parts disturbing, ethereal, beautiful and psychedelic." - Echoes And Dust

VÄLV?

A fantastic experimental trio made up of Chlöe Herington (Chrome Hoof/Knifeworld) on vocals, bassoon, saxes, electronics and various homemade instruments, Elen Evans on harp and vocals, and Emma Sullivan (Chrome Hoof) on bass, micro-korg and vocals.

In their short existence, they've closed the Barn Stage at SUPERNORMAL and shared the stage with North Sea Radio Orchestra and Charles Hayward's Monkey Puzzle Trio.

The track "Lights", from their first EP [the theosophical society], was #18 in The Quietus' Top 50 tracks of 2017.

Their new EP [cycles] is released on 12th November.

"Precisely shaped to weave through the mind like blood through a capillary." - The Quietus

"Ranging from Aphex Twin abstractions to childlike songs with Brian Eno's vocal works." - PROG
