Brompton Cross and the Walton Street Association are delighted to present the Walton Street Winter Market in support of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

On Saturday December the 1st between 10 AM and 5 PM Walton Street and Draycott Avenue will be closed to traffic as a Winter Market with artisan makers and producers selling food, flowers and gifts takes place down the centre of Walton Street, all adding to the already renowned shopping offering of the area.

2018 also sees the return of a dedicated Christmas lighting scheme to the Walton Street and the surrounding area which will create a beautiful setting for the market.

Refreshments, street food and free entertainment will further add to the festive atmosphere on the day with a Norwegian style tipi tent that will host free children’s activities including face painting, Christmas card and tree decoration making and chocolate lolly dipping with TootSweet chocolatier.

Street entertainments will include choirs from local schools, street musicians and performers, three wise men and their real camels, ice sculptures and reindeer and a sled where visitors will have the chance to be photographed by Birgitta Zoutman who will be on hand to capture beautiful portrait shots in her unique style.

Artisanal food makers on the market feature the likes of Daylesford, local Chelsea favourite The Pie Man, Pudding Lane Christmas puddings and many more. The event will also be an ideal opportunity to shop for gifts with all of the area’s shops open throughout the day and market stalls curated by creative collective P S Shop Up.

To help keep guest warm whilst they enjoy the market, Jeroboams and The Enterprise Pub will both be on hand serving mulled wine and Katharine Pooley will have a hot chocolate stand outside their shop gifting, candy canes and toffee apples for donations to the Royal Marsden.

Andrew Martin will be hosting a Kit Kemp tent on the street, highlighting their unique collaboration with the award-winning interior designer.

There will also be a raffle in aid of Royal Marsden Cancer Charity held on the day with incredible prizes from the area’s stores and restaurants.
