The Lift-Off Film Festival has long since been established in the wonderful city of London, and it's that time of year for us to be returning once more!

The international Lift-Off Film Festival will be returning this December to celebrate the very best that the independent film community has to offer in London and the rest of the world! The Lift-Off Global Network is committed to promoting global indie film, connecting filmmakers from all around the world, and nurturing the creative talent of their ever-growing community.

The Programme:

Feature film, Love Possibly (dirs. Michael Boccalini & Che Grant) is about a rom-com obsessed virgin who finally finds a fiancée on a Russian bride site, but he soon realizes Hollywood rom-com rules don't apply when you're trying to make a mail-order bride love you.

Short film, Make Aliens Dance (dir. Sebastien Petretti) sees Mike, a music producer in free fall, Dan, a sound engineer who is tired of his job, Murphy, the autistic brother with his headphones fixed to his ears, and, Lilli, the mother, going through a rough time in their lives. Mazzy, the youngest sibling, a singer with a superb voice, has disappeared. What do they have left of her?

Dunk (dir. Sophie Martin) is a story about Jully, a 14-year-old teenager girl with a sturdy character and captain of her city's basketball team, is struck by the tragic car accident of her parents. Overnight, she is placed in a foster care with her little sister Charlie. Jully prefers to hide the truth from her friends, and she is going to learn how to integrate herself and overcome her anger and sadness. Basketball will be the key for her adaptation that seems impossible.
