On Saturday the 16th of March 2019, Matthew returns to Schott Music, to give a recital of the Gnossiennes and Gymnopodies of Erik Satie, arranged for the classical guitar.

As well as performing the music of Satie, Mathew will
also be premiering several new compositions, which are also included on his latest release.

This event is an album launch and will be approximately one hour in length - there will an opportunity afterwards, to enjoy a glass of wine and relax.
Biography

Matthew Sear M.M., L.R.S.M., F.L.C.M. (b. 1975), is a London born musician, noted for compositions and performances that borrow from a variety of musical styles. Over the last several years, his pieces have drawn from an array of topics, ranging from 20th century North American life, to St Paul's conversion, on The Road To Damascus.
He gave his London debut, (as both performer and composer) in 2006, at St Paul's Church, Covent Garden and has since performed as a guitarist/composer at venues including; St John Smith’s Square, St James’ Piccadily, Hertford College (University of Oxford) and at St Martin In The Field's 'Series For Young Composers', where he premiered his suite for guitar, 'Portraits Of North America'.

Since 2010, Matthew's compositions as well as receiving performances in concert venues across the U.K, North America and Spain; have additionally been performed at festivals including The Edinburgh, Toronto, Brighton and Adelaide fringe festivals.

Matthew lives in SE London, with his wife Suzanne and their King Charles Spaniel Ellie. Interests outside of composition include; premiere league football, Autism, film, psychology and the search for extra terrestrial intelligence. He is a proud performer for the charity 'Music In Hospitals and Care.
