Euston Town's MAKE SPACE presents...

An evening exploring the work and gaining an insight to the life of Paul Atherton.

Paul is an accomplished producer and director, and the first person to have screened a film on the Coca Cola screen at Piccadilly Circus. A video diary made with his son is a part of the permanent collection of the Museum of London. His work has shined a light on the failures of the DWP, female objectification and domestic violence.

Running along the background of these career achievements is the unexpected truth that Paul is homeless, and has been for ten years.

Walking past a person sleeping rough, many of us will naturally think that wouldn’t happen to us. It’s hard to imagine the circumstances that lead to homelessness.

We’ve invited Paul to present snippets of some of his wonderful portfolio of work in film, and his inspiring campaigning across a range of social issues. He will tell us the incredible – frustrating, shocking and humbling – story of how he came to be homeless, and the systems in place that have worked against him.

You’ll be invited to ask questions, explore further into his specific perspective on homelessness and the fascinating work he does, with an open and lively discussion.

If you’d like to join, please email [email protected] to reserve your space.

Vegetarian food from the wonderful local South Indian restaurants of Drummond Street will be on offer, with soft drinks from Camden Collective startup Nix & Kix.
