The line-up for the evening is:

Tez Ilyas
Tez Ilyas hit the ground running. In his first three years as a stand up, he found himself in no less than eight competition finals including the prestigious BBC New Comedy Award and Leicester Mercury New Comedian of the Year. In 2015, Tez achieved phenomenal success with his debut stand up hour TEZ Talks. A sell out run at the Soho Theatre and his own BBC Radio 4 series based on the show followed, with a second series released in 2018 and a third already commissioned.

Tez is one of the stars of hit sitcom Man Like Mobeen (BBC Three) and has appeared on Mock the Week (BBC Two), The Last Leg (C4), Live From the BBC (BBC Two), Live from the Comedy Store (Comedy Central), Kevin Hart’s Live from Montreal (LOL Network), Virtually Famous (E4), The Now Show (BBC Radio 4) and made a brand new quiz show pilot for Vice.

Funmbi Omotayo
Funmbi Omotayo’s friendly, instantly likeable style won him the award for Best Newcomer at the Black Entertainment Comedy Awards. He has since gone on to win the prestigious Leicester Square New Act of the Year competition in 2012; shortly after becoming joint winner of Amused Moose’s Laugh Off Competition in the same year. Gently paced stories and anecdotes are delivered warmly and confidently from this relative newcomer. Funmbi is creating a huge storm on the comedy circuit with tales of living in Hackney, his Nigerian roots and his hilarious day to day observations.

Juliet Meyers
Managing to mix silliness with edginess, Juliet has a chatty style that allows her to interact with the crowd; this makes her much in demand both as a comedian and an MC.
She has been bringing her own brand of hilarious, cerebral, observational, gag –driven, (mostly gender non-specific), comedy to the stage for 7 years.

Dave Green
Dave Green has been doing stand-up comedy since 2011. Since then his otherworldly persona and paranoid riffs on everyday life have fast proved popular with audiences in the UK and beyond. In 2018 he did his debut stand-up show ‘Melt’ at the Edinburgh Fringe festival. “The show established him as a keen writer who approaches the everyday from a different angle” (Chortle)

Martin Durchov
Martin Durchov is a Bulgarian comedian who only started doing stand up in November 2017. He has progressed in rapid time, reaching the final of the prestigious “So You Think You’re Funny” competition as well as being “South East New Comedian Of The Year”. Martin has smashed several tough gong shows around the UK and is one of the most promising acts out there right now.
