On the 27 March 2019, ‘Cetaphil Skincare Screenings’ will throw open the doors of the usually members-only venue, The London Library, to present an exclusive showing of ‘The Breakfast Club’, a cult classic hailed as one of the greatest movies of all time.

Set in a school library, and starring Brat Pack legends Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald, Ally Sheedy, Anthony Michael Hall and Emilio Estevez, ‘The Breakfast Club’ follows the story of five high school students from different walks of life enduring all-day Saturday detention.

The athlete, the brain, the criminal, the princess and the basket case, break through the social barriers of high school, leading them to question whether school or life will ever be the same.

Although still fairly undiscovered in the UK, Cetaphil Skincare has a huge following around the globe and has launched the ‘Cetaphil Skincare Screenings’ to bring cult movies to brilliantly fitting locations, and to reveal its cult range of effective skincare to UK audiences.

Shaking up a traditionally quiet experience, this cult movie twist on a library visit will be addictively instagrammable and a night out with friends to remember.

Whilst enjoying the ultimate movie snacks created by Joe & Seph’s, guests will venture inside the Library (whose former members include Charles Dickens, George Eliot, Bram Stoker, Virginia Woolf, and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle), to discover the famous ‘Reading Room’ converted into a 100-seat cinema.

In addition to the cinema screen, here they’ll find:

Music by UK's most exciting emerging talent, electro-pop artist and beatboxing champion, Grace Savage, whose latest release, was recently play listed as BBC Radio 1’s Introducing Track Of The Week
Short performance from DanceWorks
A goody bag featuring Cetaphil Skincare product worth over £30, containing Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, Cetaphil Daily Defence Moisturiser SPF 50+ and Cetaphil Moisturising Lotion

Alessandra Godio, Head of Northern Europe Marketing at Cetaphil Skincare, said: “Cetaphil has a real cult following, but is also known by many as ‘quietly brilliant’. So when choosing a location for our first screening, we wanted to go somewhere that was also ‘quietly brilliant’. The London Library was the perfect choice, and what better cult movie to show in a library, than ‘The Breakfast Club’?

"We can’t wait for guests to join us for this ultimate movie night in an iconic venue, and are thrilled that all proceeds will go towards British Skin Foundation research."

Entry includes movie snacks, refreshments, performances and goody bag worth over £30.
